I have recently moved back to Leicester having lived here about 30 years ago. I previously lived in the London and Watford area, but having retired I decided to return to Leicester - though I'm now wondering if I should have opted to live in a village rather than in the City.
Immediately before I retired I worked as a University Administrator in various capacities in various London universities, though this was not my first career having previously been made redundant at least twice.
Family circumstances did not allow me to go to university when I left school (something I regretted at the time), but I was fortunate enough to be able to go to university (SOAS) later on in life as a mature student. I enjoy intellectual stimulation and have plans to take up some further studying.
Im not at all materialistic and am happy to enjoy the simple pleasures in life; having said that I do also appreciate things of beauty and quality. I enjoy nature and walking in the countryside taking in the scenery and wildlife. I also take delight in animals, both wild and domestic. I hope I'm a compassionate individual who is a good listener.
