I am 70 yrs old, my friends say i don't look it but friends are usually Kind. I certainly don't feel it. I am widowed and have two adult children and one grandchild. I am retired from a very absorbing career while bringing up my children.
I am looking for a long term relationship with someone with some shared interests, committment and companionship. I Do not want to co-habit as I amhappy with my own company a lot of the time but I would like someone to share my life with too. Friendship first and of course mutual attraction both physically, emotionally and intellectually. These things can perhaps be best described as that 'spark', but the friendship needs to be established first. Then to go with the flow.
I would like someone to go out and about with and enjoy life and pursuits. I have many interests and I am sure there is much more out there to discover to add to them. I like cinema, theatre (plays mostly, but some musicals are o.k) Museums, the coast, national Trust, although i have gone off their ethos of late. Old towns, eating out, Gastro pubs or old tradional inns with big log fires. Cooking and eating in. Documentaries, True crime. psychology. Police dramas. Thrillers. psychological thrillers.Eclectic music taste. belong to a rock choir, don't mind a bit of a boogie now and again. Don't mind live music if it's ot too crowded.
I am happy and content with my life but it is missing that special someone. Not just any someone for the sake of it so possibly that person will prove allusive to find.
I am mostly reserved but not all the time. I am easy going, emotionally stable, don't like drama, educated, affectionate, open minded, curious about life and love life. Bit overweight but working on that and focused. Neither really introverted or extroverted. Can be bit shy but you would never notice. Confident enough. Altruistic. try to be non judgemental. The sort of man I find attractive is confident, slim to medium who likes cuddly women! outgoing, proactive with high energy level for life, intelligent including emotioally intelligent and self aware and able to converse at a deep level although I do tend to overthink, not allways a good thing but I can't help myself. I do not even mind a bit of arrogance in a man, as long as he is also polite and sometimes humble (hard to pull that off!) Clean and presentable, smart casual, or dresses according to the situation. Not old fashioned but neither trying to be too trendy, pony tails are out! Hygeine is paramount. Hopefully he would not be too set in his ways either, but i guess we are getting on a bit so it's inevitable up to a point. Do not like pipe and slippers man, shy or quiete man, rude or too bossy man, scruffy joggers man, angry man, or smokers, or anyone with addictions. Think i have covered it all now! is he out there?
Yes i do want the best, but I only give my best to the right person. feel reticient to hope for a love match because I believe it to be elusive at my age, but hope springs eternal and wouldn't it be nice? If not, a really good friend would also be nice too.
