A while ago, I was involved in a very serious accident while returning from a vacation. That accident took the lives of my late husband and my only child, and it also damaged my vocal cords. Because of that, I can’t speak for now, although I can hear perfectly well. The doctors say that with time and treatment, my voice will return, but at the moment I communicate through messages only.
