A "young" 82 year old. Few people I meet think I am that age. Getting a bit of Arthritis and not quite as energetic as I once was but managing to look after myself and my wife who has severe dementia.
She is now gone into permanent full time care. Married ( not very happily) for 58 years, 2 children in their 50's and 6 grandsons.
That is why I describe myself as "separated" as I have been, in a true sense for many years.
An emotional person who does have scars from a poor marriage, but I do respond well to affection and acceptance. Looking for a person who wants me for myself, rather than just "needs" me. I am a folk singer and have performed at the Kumeu folk festival 4 times, performing some of my own songs. Several ladies have been in contact who are Christians.
To be quite honest such a relationship might prove difficult, I am a follower of Asatru, the modern form of the old Norse religion. I am very happy in my beliefs and have even been to Sweden on "pilgrimage". There is a long history of friction and I, for one, would find it hard to have a relationship with a devout Christian. NO anti vaxers please, do I really look like a follower of DJT?
Experience has taught me this already. Ladies who have had very good relationships through their lives find it hard to accept a new one. Those who like me, have experienced unsatisfactory relationships during their lives are more open to try new ones. So, if you are looking for perfection, I may not be it. But if you are looking for a loyal friend or companion who needs, and likes to give, emotional and practical support, then we may be on the same page.
