I've always found it hard fitting into a world where women don't know how to be women and men aren't real men. Not like how my father was, where honor meant something and the care of a woman was true and passionate. I can't say that the years have been kind but I'd like to believe that somewhere out there is that other part of me and he just hasn't been able to find me. I know that love can be this amazing thing, where a man can just love you so much he can barely breath without feeling your touch, where the light of you just shines in and lights up his world. You can count on him to always be there, to be your shield in the world. He would never raise a hand to you nor allow another to do so either, and no matter what hard times may come, he's the one that you can face things together. Maybe that's just my way of thinking. But it's something that I suppose only the right sort of man could possibly understand. I guess I'll always just be that silly romantic at heart.
